A small table top unit which accepts IR signals from a suitable remote control and converts them to X10 commands. It can control up to 16 unit codes and can be set to house codes A to P. There is a keypad on the top of the unit which allows for manual control of ON/OFF, DIM/BRIGHT, ALL LIGHTS ON, ALL UNITS OFF, OFF of up to 8 X10 devices.

Remote controls such as the Easytouch 35 or Philips Pronto RU960 can be used with this unit however any 'learning' remote control can be programed to access the unit provided it has the special home automation codes within it, your remote's instruction manual should tell you this.

Can be controlled wirelessly using an X10 RF signal (e.g. Marmitek RF remote control Easycontrol8 and EasyTouch35, Marmitek wall switch SS13, Marmitek motion detector MS13, etc.)

Description

The Voice Dialler Security kit is a fully supervised system that gives you the power to protect your home whether you are at home or away. This kit is easily installed (no wires) and allows you to control the level of security at all times.

In protecting your home, your first requirement is to make sure that the burglar doesn't choose your home. The SC9000 Security System has built-in "prevention features" that make a house look lived-in. Sound via X10 plug-in modules to a radio and/or lights can be turned on any time, whether you are at home or away.

Making your home looked lived-in will dissuade most potential burglars; if, however, the burglar is determined to enter your home, the SC9000 Security System using X10 external motion sensors it can trigger more sound, bark the electronic dog and turn on lights as the burglar approaches the house using the appropriate optional X10 devices

In the event that the burglar does break-in, the second requirement is to get him/her out of your house as quickly as possible. If a window or door sensor or motion detector is activated, sirens of 95 dBs will sound and make your house physically uncomfortable for the burglar thus forcing him/her to leave as quickly as possible. A voice dialler system will immediately call a friend or neighbor, playing your pre-recorded message indicating that there is a problem at your residence. A listen-in feature allows the friend or neighbor to hear what is going on inside the home and take appropriate action.

The SC9000 also has the very useful ability of allowing you to control your X10 devices remotely by simply dialing in and then using keystrokes to turn on/off items as required. This can be used to switch lights, appliances or to switch your heating on before you get home.
